Call to Order

Supervisor Ray Macke called the regular meeting of the Marissa Township Board to order at 7:00 p.m. on July 12, 2007 at the township building with the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes of Previous Meeting

Louis Dodson made a motion to accept the regular meeting minutes, township budget meeting minutes, and road district budget meeting minutes of June 7, 2007. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.

Payment of Bills

Bills were submitted for payment. Curt Werner made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Debbie Smith seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Curt Werner, yes; Debbie Smith, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; Steve Laumbattus, yes; and Ray Macke, yes. Motion carried.

Public Comment

No public comment.

Correspondence

• Ray Macke distributed TOI membership cards to trustees.
• Louis Dodson read a thank you note from the EPA for the use of the township building.

Cemetery Report

• Ray Macke reported that there were two (2) burials in June.

Road Commissioner’s Report

• No report given.

Old Business

· Cemetery Trustee Vacancy: After some discussion, Steve Laumbattus made a motion to appoint Mark Albert to the cemetery trustee vacancy. Debbie Smith seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Steve Laumbattus, yes; Debbie Smith, yes; Curt Werner, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; and Ray Macke, yes. Motion carried.

· Township Website (marissatownship.com): Ray Macke reported that he has set up a website for the township and will be adding more information and pictures.

New Business

• Louis Dodson made a motion to donate $75 to the Marissa FFA for their help with flags on Memorial weekend. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Louis Dodson, yes; Steve Laumbattus, yes; Debbie Smith, yes; Curt Werner, yes; and Ray Macke, yes. Motion carried.
• Other: Please let Evonne know at the August 9 meeting if you plan to attend the Educational Conference on Nov 11-13 in Springfield. Township shirts will be purchased before the conference.

Louis Dodson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
