Call to Order

Supervisor Ray Macke called the regular meeting of the Marissa Township Board to order at 7:30 p.m. on June 7, 2007 at the township building with the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes of Previous Meeting

Louis Dodson made a motion to accept the regular meeting minutes of May 10, 2007. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.

Payment of Bills

Bills were submitted for payment. Steve Laumbattus made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Debbie Smith seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Steve Laumbattus, yes; Debbie Smith, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; Ray Macke, yes; and Curt Werner, yes. Motion carried.

• None.

Cemetery Report

• Ray Macke reported that there was one (1) burial in May.
• Ray Macke reported that approximately $3400 was collected in Memorial Day contributions.
• Bob Baugher is interested in filling the vacant cemetery trustee position. This item will be placed on the agenda for the regular July meeting for trustee approval.

Road Commissioner’s Report

• Tommy Neal reported that he has signed a variance with Thouvenout, Wade & Moerchen for the new Lehr Road project.
• The Randolph County Line Road Culvert Project was awarded to Illinois Excavators. This week-long projected is scheduled to be started and completed in August.
• Tommy Neal met with the health insurance representative about changing health insurance carriers for the two road district employees.

Old Business

· Supervisor Ray Macke explained that TOIPAC contributions must be paid from individuals not township funds.

· Louis Dodson reported that Thompson Electric installed a new receptacle in the kitchen for the soda machine and two receptacles in the main room of the township building.

New Business

• Louis Dodson made a motion to adopt Township Budget and Appropriation Ordinance #2007-01 for fiscal year 2008. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A signature vote was taken. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
• Debbie Smith made a motion to adopt Road District Budget and Appropriation Ordinance #2007-01 for fiscal year 2008. Louis Dodson seconded the motion. A signature vote was taken. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
• Steve Laumbattus made a motion to adopt Township resolution #2007-02 and Road District resolution #2007-02 in compliance of Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Curt Werner seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.

Louis Dodson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Curt Werner seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
