Call to Order
Supervisor Ray Macke called the regular meeting of the
Marissa Township Board to order at 7:00 p.m. on May 10, 2007 at the township
building with the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes of Previous Meeting
Louis Dodson made a motion to accept the regular meeting
minutes of April 12, 2007. Curt Werner
seconded the motion. A voice vote was
taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
Payment of Bills
Bills were submitted for payment. Steve Laumbattus made a motion to pay the bills as
presented. Curt Werner seconded the
motion. A roll call vote was
taken: Steve Laumbattus, yes; Curt
Werner, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; Ray Macke, yes; and Debbie Smith, yes. Motion
carried.

Correspondence
- Supervisor
Ray Macke read a notice to join TOIPAC.
Debbie Smith made a motion to pay TOIPAC dues of $40 for all
members. Louis Dodson seconded the
motion. A voice vote was
taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
- Supervisor
Ray Macke read a notice about a TOI legislative meeting to be held in
Washington D.C. on September 5-6, 2007.
- Supervisor
Ray Macke read a letter from the 8th Grade Graduation Party
committee requesting donations.
Debbie Smith made a motion to donate $100. Steve Laumbattus seconded the
motion. A roll call vote was
taken: Debbie Smith, yes; Steve
Laumbattus, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; Ray Macke, yes; and Curt Werner,
yes. Motion carried.
- Trustee
Louis Dodson read a thank you note from Boy Scout Troop 327 for use of the
township building.
Cemetery Report
- Elden
Reuss reported that there was one (1) burial in April.
- Ray
Macke reported that new flags would be installed at the cemetery before
Memorial weekend.
Road Commissioner’s Report
- Tommy
Neal reported that employees have been doing weed spraying and mowing.
- Some
repairs were made to the John Deere backhoe.
- An
advertisement has been placed for bids for the Randolph County Line Road
culvert project. Bid openings are
scheduled for May 18.
Old Business

A soda machine has been installed at the township
building.

The glue on the entryway floor of the township building
cannot be removed. Louis Dodson made a
motion for Doug White to install tile in the entryway. Steve Laumbattus seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
New Business
- Tommy
Neal offered to remove two dead bushes on the west end of the township
building.
- The
financial auditors will begin the FY07 audit the week of May 14.
- Curt
Werner made a motion to change the regular June meeting date to June
7. Debbie Smith seconded the
motion. A roll call vote was
taken: Curt Werner, yes; Debbie
Smith, yes; Louis Dodson, yes; Ray Macke, yes; and Steve Laumbattus, yes.
Motion carried.
- Clerk
Evonne Albert distributed tentative budgets for the Road District and
Township. The meetings to adopt the FY08 budgets are scheduled for June 7
at 7:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

Louis Dodson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Curt Werner seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken: All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
